My department seemed to like what I was able to do with the department's intranet site, so I approached the company for a chance to redo the corporate intranet site as well. Like the QA department's site, our corporate intranet was also in dire need of updating. The purpose of the site was to serve as a repository for company forms, but I knew that a company intranet could be so much more. The first draft was just a cleaned up version of what they had before, plus a Flash clock module that displayed the current time in Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo (where our three international offices are located). In my second attempt, I used company colors for the theme and added a Flash banner that cycled images from a few of our award winning titles, and recycled that Flash clock module.
